Con l'evoluzione della strumentazione di osservazione del Sole, risultano difficilmente paragonabili i dati desunti attualmente a quelli dei secoli passati sul numero di macchie solari presenti sulla superficie del Sole.

 

Ciò porta ad una sovrastima delle macchie osservate che rende ormai non più paragonabili i dati odierni con quelli passati per una maggiore comprensione dell'attuale comportamento solare.

 

Scopo di questo database è di rendere confrontabili le attuali osservazioni sul numero di macchie solari presenti sulla Fotosfera con quelle effettuate con un telescopio ottico dell'inizio dell'altro secolo, anche in relazione ad un calcolo del Numero di Wolf più corretto.

Per questo motivo viene usato per fotografare il Sole un telescopio a bassa risoluzione che sia confrontabile a quelli utilizzati più di un secolo fa per le osservazioni (telescopio n.1).

 

Le immagini non sono trattate con il computer, ma sono originali. Sono segnalati i giorni in cui non è possibile la rilevazione per un cielo nuvoloso.

 

Eventuali immagini a maggior ingrandimento e risoluzione saranno segnalate in quanto derivate dal telescopio n.2 o dal n.3.

With the development of instruments for observing the Sun, the data obtained are hardly comparable to those present of the past number of sunspots on the surface of the Sun

This leads to an overestimation of the sunspots observed that no longer makes data comparable with those passed today for a better understanding of the solar behavior.

The purpose of this database is comparable to current observations on the number of sunspots present on the Photosphere with those made with an optical telescope of the beginning of the last century, including in relation to a calculation of the Number of Wolf more correct.

For this reason it is used a telescope at low resolution to photograph the Sun: it is comparable to those used a century ago for the observations (telescope # 1).

The images are not altered with the computer, but are original. The days are reported when you can not collect for a cloudy sky.

Any images with higher magnification and resolution will be reported as derived from the telescope No. 2 or No. 3.
